Feral Colony Notes

  • The next fix-a-thon is scheduled for the weekend of February 17 to 19, 2017.
  • Shortly after 6 PM, Shelly started broadcasting live from the Lion Colony on the VIP stream. She attempted some fairly successful feather stick play time with (I think) super floofy Middle Pumpkin and Wee Pumpkin as well as some of the other cats in the barn. (Shelly saved the 30+ minute video to the VIP stream page so if you missed the live broadcast and you have signed up for VIP access, you can still get the sneak peek at the cats in the new colony.)Snapshot of Lion Colony sneak peek video, available on VIP stream at vip.tinykittens.com/live.

The cams and Livestream feeds

Recently, Shelly has been switching cams and feeds around fairly randomly so I am just going to note what cams were viewable when. Generally there is a VIP stream and a public stream.

  • The VIP stream was on Calvin most of the day. Shortly after 6PM, it switched to show Shelly live at the Lion Colony.
  • The regular stream showed highlights of past litters.
  • Nothing was streaming live on YouTube.

Calvin

Calvin is in the feral recovery room downstairs at TKHQ.

  • Early in the morning, Calvin jumped up on the portable heater and onto the (off-cam) shelf where the flood light and other things are. He knocked the lamp onto the floor with a crash and subsequently spent the rest of the morning behind the small cat tree. 😉
  • Kathryn Jane visited Calvin off and on throughout the late morning and early afternoon, while other volunteers were doing projects elsewhere in the house (presumably prep work for the upcoming fix-a-thon).
  • Amanda visited later in the afternoon. (I didn’t get to watch either sets of visits except for brief glimpses of some nice playtime.)

Mason

Mason is at Shelly’s. He has the run of the house, though Shelly says he mostly hides under the couch.

LAPS:

The cams and Livestream feeds

LAPS is currently having some technical issues with their computer and their Internet/WiFi and so they’re generally unable to broadcast a full-time live stream at this time. Their current intermittent streams are:

  • A Day in the Life At LAPS: This is the main general event for LAPS. It’s the stream where intakes are usually streamed along with other shelter residents/rooms.

General Notes

  • No social media updates today
