LAPS:
Shiraz
- Foster Mom Jules uploaded a Periscope video of latest foster, Shiraz (with many photobombs by the very scampy Purdy). I’m not sure when Shiraz initially found her way to LAPS (sometime before Sunday, I believe) — she was brought in to a local vet clinic who then contacted LAPS. She clearly suffered some kind of trauma (could have been an animal attack, a fall from a height, being hit by car, or any of a number of other events) — her pelvis is broken, she has open wounds on both back legs, and her tail is broken. She is on many meds and crate rest for at least six weeks. (When she eventually goes in for her spay, they will have to amputate her tail at the same time.)
CallaLily Litter
- Alicia had her daily Periscope session with Calla and the kittens. She was off today so she also had an earlier session with them. There’s only been one application so far for this family, and that was for just Treasure. The kittens will have their spay/neuters on Thursday and then will go to LAPS on Friday — the hope is that all of them will have forever homes to go to right away so that they don’t have to stay at LAPS. Calla Lily has already been spayed (during her emergency C-section) but there was no one there at the time who could tattoo her ear so she still needs to have that done.
