LAPS:

Pumpkin Spice (named by the kids of the family who brought her in) was brought in this afternoon. She’d shown up at the family’s house last night in rough shape. They had Advantage already for their own pets and gave her some last night — the blanket she was sleeping on was covered in fleas this morning. She’s so itchy from the flea infestation, it hurts you to watch her. She is really skinny and missing a canine tooth and some skin on the right side of her face, which leaves her tongue hanging out. But she’s so, so friendly. And so itchy. (Normally, a cat intake would be shown on Livestream but they need to set up another computer. Hence this Periscope teaser.)

Sully had his neuter surgery. He’s now back at LAPS, hanging out in Jayne’s office for the night. His new forever family are picking him up at 13:30 tomorrow.

More playtime for Calla and her kittens on Alicia’s daily Periscope session today. Especially cute is Calla stealing sparkle puffs out of the bag to play with.

Cassidy had his neuter surgery today. He also saw the specialist and had some better x-rays taken.

Cassidy’s x-rays show a relativity normal skeletal system. The problem with his rear left leg is not in the growth plate, but in the muscles — the rear left leg quadricep muscles (at the front of the leg) are in spasm and with the corresponding muscles on the back of the leg not built up enough, it’s causing the leg bones to pull towards the front. Shelly will do physical therapy with Cassidy to help build up the muscles on the back of the leg. There will be no surgery for now.
There were several more appearances of Cassidy’s story on various sites, but they were all pretty much mirrors of others already linked to here (and from smaller sites — or at least ones less known to me) so I haven’t bothered compiling them all here.
