LAPS:

Alicia had her daily Periscope session with Calla Lily and the kittens. Calla was particularly playful tonight, batting around her green ball like the soccer playing star she is.

Shelly stripped everything out of the kittens’ room and gave it a really good scrubbing down and bleaching. (I believe the thought is that the URI they have may be calici.) When she returned the kittens to the room, it was without most/all of the scratching posts and other items that are hard/impossible to properly disinfect or clean. (She got side-tracked in the middle of the cleaning by the call to help with Haze.) Lots of room to race and be scampy, but they’ve pretty much all been in a kitten pile since returning to the room after their epic play time in the rest of the house.

The little tuxie kitten — newly named Haze — that Kim T. had been seeing with the two gingers around the feeding station lately was trapped today. After everything that happened with Rain, they took him immediately to Mountain View, where it was determined that he is a little dehydrated but otherwise seems healthy. These three kittens (and possibly Rain as well) are from Nova‘s previous litter as they were seen today at the feeding station *with* the very pregnant Nova and have also been seen on and around her on the trail cam at the site. (Kim didn’t see the darker ginger kitten today, just the tuxie and the lighter ginger. Kimsies, Kim, and Shelly tried to trap the lighter ginger but she eluded them so Kim will try again tomorrow.) Haze is spending the night at LAPS with a Snuggle Mama and then will hopefully be in foster care tomorrow.
(Oh, wow, just realized that Nova is Cat #1 on Shelly’s feral colony page so she was the first cat officially catalogued at the colony. Come on, girl, time to come in from the forest.)
