Feral Colony Cats
- After Caden and Henrietta were returned to the colony yesterday, Tellar was alone at LAPS. So they decided to try to bring in one or two more socialable cats to try out with him. Kimsies trapped Eaton today and brought him in. (Apparently, Kim T had him trapped yesterday but the carrier broke.) He handled the intake exam really well, all things considered.
- Foster Mom Jules did a couple of Periscopes with Eaton from LAPS. Eaton is a big ole lap cat. Super friendly and snuggly. The second Periscope was of his ringworm blacklighting with Jules and Lneya. (LAPS’ normal Wood’s lamp is broken. They’ve ordered new bulbs but in the meantime are using one of those consumer blacklights for checking for urine and whatnot.) He has a number of scabby areas that unfortunately appear to fluoresce suspiciously under blacklight. They’re going to do a PCR test just to make sure. Even if that comes back positive, Lneya thinks that he’s so friendly that he’d do fine even with the ringworm bathing — so a positive PCR does not mean immediate return to the colony. (It does seem to mean, though, that Tellar would be alone again as I believe he’s tested negative. Note: Jules has posted both videos to her Facebook page: Eaton Periscope and blacklighting Periscope. I will also post them with all of the hearts and comments to my YouTube account later, as I usually do.)
Star Wars Litter
LAPS staff and volunteers have been very good about posting the videos of the various visits with Queen Amidala and the kittens to their Livestream page, so if you miss any visit, you can go to http://livestream.com/accounts/14083503/starwars to watch them. (Note: It’s not always easy to tell what day a video is from — Livestream uses relative time, i.e. “xx days ago”, for posts and Zulu Time, which is currently eight hours ahead of PST, for comments — but they are in reverse chronological order on the page.)

Christmas Decoration Kittens
Alicia tries to broadcast a Periscope with the kittens every night at around 20:00 PST. Because Periscope videos are only viewable on/in Periscope for 24 hours, I record the videos and upload them to YouTube.

Noelf’s Ringworm Playroom
- Noelle and Elf are currently in the other downstairs room, since their second PCRs were positive. Their room is not on a cam, but occasionally visitors will post videos or pictures from their visits. (See Kimsies’ section below for some videos and pictures from her visit with the little girls today.)
- You can presume that every snuggler who comes to visit the other two rooms stops in to visit and play with the girls as well.
- Samples for another PCR test were taken today. The results should be back in two to three days.
