LAPS:

Feral Colony Cats

• Rio is hanging out at Hotel Jules with Foster Mom Jules.
• Jules had a Periscope with Rio tonight. Rio is doing well; she’s a little cautious and likes to retreat to her safe place under the side table, but she likes tummy rubs and pets and lets Jules touch and hold her paws. (Her paw pads are very weathered from years of being outdoors.)
  
  • At one point, Rio climbed into Jules’ lap and Jules exclaimed how it was the first time that Rio had ever done that, but I think Jules forgets that Rio did exactly that the first time they met, at LAPS.
    
    Granted, Jules was distracted at the time trying to get Tellar to take him home with her, but it sticks in my mind because it was clear from then (if not from earlier) that this girl really wants to be in a home with people.

Decker

• Decker is hanging out at Alicia’s until Wednesday.
• Alicia had to work late today. She thought she might be able to Periscope in the morning before work and possibly for a couple of minutes when she got home, but there have been no Periscopes from her today. Decker’s neuter surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. He’ll come back to her place overnight after that before going to LAPS on Wednesday for his adoption.

TinyKittens HQ:

World Spay Day 2016

• There’s a new event on Shelly’s Livestream account, World Spay Day 2016. It starts tomorrow at 10:00 PST : “Join us for a special LIVE broadcast from the Happy Cat Forest to raise awareness about World Spay Day on February 23rd 2016. Stay tuned to our facebook page for details…”

The cams and Livestream feeds

We currently have three live streaming webcams at TKHQ:

• The Jingle Bell’s Romper Room of Delight stream: Despite the name, this is the stream that is on Noelle and Elf in their dormitory downstairs.
• The Feral Recovery Room stream: This, as the name would suggest, is the stream that used to be on the upstairs room with its various residents until they went to their forever homes (or back to the Happy Forest); after Enara left on February 20, the feed was set to show a 23-minute loop of feral colony videos.
• The TinyKittens VIP cam stream — When there are only two (or fewer) rooms of cats/kittens, this stream is usually showing an alternate view of one of the rooms. Wherever it’s pointing at any given moment, this special stream/feed is only accessible for a monthly or annual fee. (Consider it a way to donate to TinyKittens monthly, with the VIP cam feed as a perk.)

NoElf Room

This is the room downstairs where Noelle and Elf are currently residing.

• The two cam feeds in this room went down last evening several hours after Suzanne’s visit. Shelly managed to bring up this VIP stream at around 09:00 but the regular stream was down all day. (She may have taken/kept the regular feed offline in order to use it for the World Spay Day stream, or it may just be the usual computer and/or Internet troubles that sometimes plague TKHQ.) The VIP stream went off again at about 21:15.
• The Visits:
  • Amanda visited in the morning. Early in the visit, Shelly switched the VIP feed (which had been on the cam that’s pointed at the top of the shelves) to the cam that is facing the door and laundry room. After Amanda left, Noelle proceeded to knock that cam over completely.

  • Shelly came downstairs briefly at around 6PM. I think she popped her head in briefly to say hi to the girls, but she didn’t really come into the room. She was busy doing a bunch of stuff in the other parts of the apartment, probably related to the World Spay Day live feed happening tomorrow.
  • Shelly stopped by briefly shortly after 7PM. The regular cam was still down and the VIP cam was showing the top of the shelves at the time. I think she might have put in more food and she put the other cam (the one Noelle knocked over) back upright again and pointing at the door. About two hours later, the whole feed went down again.

Feral Recovery Ward

The feral recovery ward is currently empty and awaiting new residents.
