LAPS:
Kibble Drop
- From Halo’s news release: “During February 1-14, Halo Purely for Pets, in partnership with Freekibble.com and GreaterGood.org, is hosting their fifth annual Kibble Drop. The 2016 Kibble Drop “14 Days of Rescue Love” tour will make stops across North America, delivering more than 400,000 bowls of healthy, nutritious Valentine’s Day love to homeless pets. At each Kibble Drop location, shelters and rescues will receive a food donation on behalf of Freekibble.com visitors and Halo customers, who make the Kibble Drop possible simply by playing Freekibble.com or by purchasing Halo pet food.”
- In the Greater Vancouver area, LAPS was one of the kibble recipients along with VOKRA, SAINTS, Surrey Animal Resource Centre, and Dhana Metta Animal Rescue Society. (Those five rescue organizations appear to be the only Canadian beneficiaries of the 2016 Kibble Drop.)
- Jayne Periscoped from the parking lot of the North Vancouver PetSmart, where they were picking up their 5000 pounds of food.
- Added on February 17: The Aldergrove Star posted an article about this generous donation. They mentioned that LAPS received 30,000 bowls of food of the over 90,000 bowls-worth being donated to the five organizations.
Feral Colony Cats
Note: Tellar is temporarily residing with Foster Mom Jules so that he can get used to being in a home environment. Eaton and Rio are still together at the shelter.
Tellar
- Jules had a short Periscope with Tellar tonight. (I’ve uploaded and embedded the video below, but she also posted it to her Facebook page.) Tellar is growing to enjoy home life more and more — he’ll do so well when he has his own home and his own people; I hope he gets adopted soon.
Rio and Eaton
- No updates today.
Star Wars Litter
- The Livestream event had already ended by the time I checked — not sure when it ended (I thought it was over as of yesterday when I looked), but it was restarted sometime today since the live video title was about Chewie and Advocaat going home at 5PM. (Don’t know if they went to the same place, but I know that Chewie’s adopter was planning to get him today, the day after the others went to their homes.) There don’t seem to be any saved videos from today in any case. So this is the end of this stream/event. Only Amidala to go. (She had an adopter lined up, but that fell through sometime today.) She was in Jayne’s office and on the cam from at least tonight.
TinyKittens HQ:
TinyKittens T-shirts
- Shelly posted her first batch of official TinyKittens t-shirts (ordered and sold by her versus t-shirts available on Cafepress or other similar sites by fans) in her TinyKittensHQ Etsy shop today. This first batch of shirts sold out really fast. Not quite as fast as Mama Meow‘s ribbon kicker and blanket sales (those are gone in the blink of an eye), but still pretty quickly. (And larger sizes sold out within minutes of Shelly posting on Facebook.) She’s already placed a new order, and is considering other colours and sizes. (She says men’s/unisex t-shirts have already been ordered but just haven’t arrived yet.) I’m sure she’ll post again when a new batch comes in so keep an eye open on Facebook and on Etsy.

The cams and Livestream feeds
On Thursday, February 4, Shelly set up a new Livestream event for the Feral Recovery Room. This was so that she could set up a new cam on Noelle and Elf downstairs at TKHQ.
So we now have three live streaming webcams at TKHQ. The various room cams (currently the feral recovery room, the romper room, and NoElf’s room) get swapped around among the three feeds so at any given point, you really have to check the feed to see what room it’s showing:
- The Jingle Bell’s Romper Room of Delight stream
- The Feral Recovery Room stream
- The TinyKittens VIP cam stream — Wherever it’s pointing at any given moment, this special stream/feed is only accessible for a monthly or annual fee. (Consider it a way to donate to TinyKittens monthly, with the VIP cam feed as a perk.)
